Bottleneck: What is bottleneck? How it affects a smartphone or laptop and what are the solutions

Bottleneck concept

Today we are going to discuss one of the most rare topics in the field of technology, the Bottleneck. Maybe some of you have heard about this before, some may are listening for the first time. But if you aren't getting the best level of satisfaction from your device right now despite having the best hardware in it this can be one of the reasons. And if this is true then go through this article and you'll get your answers.
The word "Bottleneck" itself describes what this can be. This is something that causes problem in a system and the system can't give its best regarding its components or potential. If we take the meaning, we better take an example of a bottle. We can store a limited amount of liquid in a bottle. But structure of a bottle is made in such a way that the whole amount of liquid that is stored in the bottle doesn't come out at a time. The key role here plays the neck area of the bottle, which is made very tiny compared to its body. As a result the liquid inside it comes out very slowly. Same thing we can face in any system. Be it any human body, any devices we use like smartphone or laptops, any company, career or others. A little fault can cause a big error in a simple process. We will here talk about bottlenecks of smart devices and how can we solve them. So, let's begin.

How Bottlenecks affects system

Most of the time we go for good devices with great specs. But sometimes we have to keep our eyes on the budget also. And in need of better specs we consider a product which is already affected by bottleneck. In smartphones, any of these three components can be the bottlenecks. 1. Processor, 2. Ram and 3. Storage. If we take a very powerful processing unit and give it a ram of 2 GB to work, they are never going to work out. Also if we have bigger ram capacities like 8 or 10 GB but have the 2 or 3 three years out dated budget category processor, again the results will be same. Internal storage here can be sometimes the users' fault. Most of the phones nowadays come with enough internal storage option except the low budget segment. But the consumers uses the storage for storing big video files and movies. Where they loose most of the internal space within 3-6 months of usage. After that, the application doesn't get enough space to update or run smoothly and the smartphones start lagging. Here the storage types also matter. The internal storage type used by the brands nowadays are very fast. But the user often uses memory cards to expand it and buy low quality storage type to save little amount of money. And again the performance output is not up to the mark. That's why some brands are removing the memory card slot nowadays. So you better get a balanced device rather concentrating on a particular component.
In the laptops, the theory is same. The three components also matter here and any of them can cause the bottleneck of the product. So while buying a new laptop, we must check the specs and select the one with latest and fastest components but also with perfect balance. Here we'll like to mention about the storage drive type which the user doesn't think about most of the time. In a laptop we should go for SSDs instead of HDDs. SSD works more faster than the HDDs. But they also are costlier than the normal HDDs, almost 3 times or more than that. But you have the hybrid solution here. You can keep the OS on a minimal capacity SSD so that it works faster and attach a higher capacity HDD to store bigger files and others. Consumers also have look for better and faster Ram quality and latest processor acidity l available in the market according to their budget. And find the best possible combination in their budget.
Afterall, It totally depends on the user. Before using a smart device they have to be smart enough to choose the best combo for them in a better price. Only then you can enjoy the device. You can ask me about any kind of doubts related to this in the comment section. I'll try to answer them.
