Design and display:
Oppo will bring the premium looking glass back design like its most of mid-range phones. But this time without the fingerprint sensor on the rear. The Oppo will have the under display fingerprint sensor. That's why it will have a super AMOLED Full HD+ screen sized 6.4 inches and the waterdrop notch. The resolution of the phone will be 1080x2340 with 404 PPI pixel density and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Now Oppo is also coming with the under display fingerprint sensor concept in the mid-range segment like its sibling brand, Vivo.Performance:
Performance wise the phone will be a beast as Oppo has finally left the MediaTek's Helio P60 behind and this time will be coming with the Qualcomm's Snapdragon 660 processor. This chipset is quite powerful and the same we see on the Vivo's V11 pro, which is priced over 25k in India with almost same features. It will give better gaming experienced also as the sd660 has the Adreno 512 GPU which provides way better graphics experience than others in the segment. This phone is expected to come with the Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box having color OS version 5.2 upon it. Now, this can be a matter to worry for some consumers as they have complained against the smoothness of the UI. Oppo must optimize their UI for better user experience.Image copied from www.noypigeeks.com |
Camera:
Cameras will be one of the strongest parts of the device like its other products. The dual rear camera setup contains a 16 MP main sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with a 2 MP secondary camera for depth sensing purpose. The front side is also packed with a 25 MP front shooter for better selfies as the brand introduces themselves as the "Selfie Expert".Variants and pricing:
Oppo K1 has launched in China with two variants of 4/64 GB and 6/128 GB ram and storage options. The pricing of the variants is so interesting as the base variant was priced near 17,000/- mark in Indian rupee and the higher variant was demanding near 19,000/- Indian rupee. The price point is quite impressive and Oppo should maintain the pricing near the Chinese pricing and these would definitely be a huge success in India.Battery and others:
Oppo hasn't provided very big batteries in their phones and also will continue the same thing with this one as the Oppo K1 contains a 3500 maH battery that's just average nowadays. But with the sAMOLED display, this can run longer than its competition. It also has other specs like Wi-Fi 802.11 а/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, WiFi Direct, hotspot, Bluetooth 5.0 support in it. But the Oppo K1 will not be featuring any USB type c port in it as it has the micro USB 2.0 port for charging and file transferring. In this price point, the Oppo K1 can easily beat the Vivo V11 Pro and also its sub brand's latest launch, the Realme 2 Pro, which almost contains similar specs. This will also be the cheapest smartphone with an under display fingerprint sensor. Oppo definitely going on the right track and can get a dominant position in the market with this type of strategy.
