1. Outdated hardwares:
Here, the word "hardware" mainly means the processor, which is often called the heart of a device by the experts. It doesn't matter how powerful your phone's processor is now, after two years it will be gone outdated. Then your phone will start lagging and run slow. Some brands nowadays are providing two-year-old processors in their just because it was very powerful then. But now the streets have been changed. Brands like Xiaomi, Motorola Samsung etc must stop using sd625, sd450 in the mid-range category where when sd660 is cheaper than their sd450 phones. And you, the consumers, always check the processor of the phone you are going to buy in near future. Be it an octa-core, quad-core or deca core, it must contain the latest features and must have been launched within a year or less. Don't go with old hardware no matter how much great features company provides along with.2. Bigger application size:
The app developers always try to find the best features to provide the users and get success. And we are also getting better apps days by day, be it from Google or from other Android app developers. But along with the good services you have to pay higher. That's one of the reasons the size of the applications is too big nowadays. And with every update, these become bigger. It will not harm the phones with recent phones but after two years it will make difference where you'll find no more storage to keep the apps. The update will also bring features which the hardware is not capable of. Then the apps will start crashing. That's why you always have to be alert which apps you update, is the update really needed or what extra features the application will be providing after the update. Don't update apps if only claims to change the UI or give more themes to install. It will make your phone to work harder.Image copied from www.alamy.com |
3. Unnecessary apps and files:
Most of the smartphones are coming with better storage options nowadays. But some budget phones are still stuck will the 16 GB internal storage option. The system consumes almost half of that and the other half that's nearly 8 GB is left for the user. Here they to keep their applications, files, photos, and others. So always try to keep fewer files on your phones. You don't have to delete your important files but you must back up your photos, videos and audio files in the cloud storage regularly. Then you can delete them from internal storage. You can uninstall unused apps which you haven't touched since last one or two months. And always keep a distance from the ram cleaning or battery saving apps or the antivirus apps. These kinds of apps harm your phone the most and do nothing at all. These apps continuously kill the background apps and clear caches, it creates more pressure on the processor white launching the apps next time. So you better uninstall these type of apps now if you have any of them on your phone.4. Bottleneck:
This is one of the problems that come from the manufacturer side. Due to the competition in the market the smartphone company tries to better and better specs to their latest launches. In this race, some side goes unnoticed. Some brands, just for the branding purpose, creates the bottleneck problem in a smartphone by playing the number games. Companies try to highlight the one thing that is the best in their device and do not talk about the others. And the consumers just get attracted to that particular thing which was missing in the budget and doesn't think about other components. This they purchase a new device which is already affected by Bottleneck. You can read the details article about the bottleneck here and know how it affects your device's performance despite having powerful hardware.5. Brands taking action:
Well, if your phone's age is above 3-4 years, then maybe the brand is taking actions to slow down your old companion. We have heard many times that the brands like Apple or Samsung often slow down their old models by pushing OTA updates. According to some companies, they take such kind of action to save the phone from a degrading like the metal parts of the processor starts degrading, or the battery. As the new software is not so much compatible with old components, companies don't want their devices to be affected deeply they downgrade the performance of the phone. Also, some users may buy the newest model of the same brand, in this hope they can do such kind of thing. These are the 5 reasons your smartphone is lagging. And also there are more like heavy apps with less powered components, heavy and rough usage, heating issue, water or any physical damage also can cause the legs in your phone. The users have to identify and use their device according to them.
